Please don’t waste time wondering if you are worthy… it is a waste of time and you need to sing NOW… this very moment. Waiting for the perfect moment means you are never singing NOW! The only moment we have is Right Now.
It is easy to begin because the minute you take a breath, silence is there and is embracing and hugging us and patiently waiting for the dialogue of crescendo-decrescendo or perhaps giving us time to let some words that begin to describe our passion at the moment arise in our minds. Our question of the moment. Our soaring happiness of the moment. Our sorrow.
Music is kind. It is ever-present. It is in every breath we take. It is revealing. It lets us quiet our minds and hear and see things within us. It is saying to us ‘relax’ and enjoy the opportunity to be expressive and reactive. It is who we are. It is what humans do naturally.
Everything is Music. Everything around us is giving us groove and beat. The pulse of life is everywhere and everything. Our heart is throbbing. Nature is orchestrating amazing events… Over there! Over there! All sounds are different from each and yet the same.
Please don’t waste any more time wondering about life. Let life take care of itself. We need to get busy. NOW!!
Start a beat. Get the groove going. Yes, the beat is in your body immediately when the groove gets started. Rhythm makes us more complete. We feel so much more involved when we are in the pulse. Life is flowing now. Opportunity seems to be everywhere now that the groove is carrying us. “I feel Good,” says James Brown! Say it with him!
But is our experience of silence different from our experience of music? Sometimes the depth of the color of the sky, or the infinite complexity of the design of the universe leaves us no ability for action except a gasp of disbelief. “How can that sunset be so beautiful!” But that holds the same potential as the moment we consciously drew breath to sing! Exhaling with a tone or simply breathing in, in surprise thinking, “what a sound! What a chord… WOW!!” This is the beginning that may lead to the melody, Oh, the Melody!!!”
Yes, Melody, perhaps, is like Silence. It is everywhere… ever-present… the natural consequence of breath.
Oh My! Please don’t wonder! Sing!!
